FARM SHARESFarm Share, Farm Box, CSA, Community Supported Agriculture – whatever you call it – it all comes down to supporting your local farmer when they need it most. From our friends at Copicut Farm, here’s a simple definition:
…a program in which each member purchases a share of our farm at the beginning of our growing season, and then picks up their share of our harvest throughout the the spring, summer, and fall. The farm share program is critical for our farm, as it provides us working capital at the beginning of the season when it is most needed, without relying on high-interest loans from banks.
What do you get in return? The freshest, healthiest produce, and the most humanely-raised poultry, pork, beef and eggs available anywhere. Follow the links below to learn about the Plymouth Farmers’ Market farmers who offer this. Some farmers offer a declining balance card, others offer an actual box of food each week, the freshest, just-picked food, all in season….picked just for you!
Visit links below to Plato’s Harvest, Skinny Dip Farm, Web of Life Organic Farm to see what they offer. Our poultry, pork and beef farmers also offer either a discounted declining balance share card or discounts when you buy in bulk (Brown Boar and Dufort Farms) – their links are below too.
Shares are always limited, so sign up soon!
